The NZ Business Excellence Foundation has a range of training options which are delivered via public course or in-house courses tailored to your business needs.  These are designed to provide you and your staff with an understanding of the fundamentals of business excellence, the characteristics of world-class organisations, the use of quality tools, how to assess your organisation against the best practice framework and how to prioritise and turn opportunities for improvement into action.

As the majority of our training is delivered in-house, please contact the Foundation to discuss the options available.  To run in-house training workshops, a minimum of seven attendees is required.

Implementing Benchmarking
Learn How to Plan and Undertake Benchmarking as a strategic and operational tool to accelerate improvement. Learn what to do and what not to do. Learn from real life case studies and by participating in simulated benchmarking on real topics/projects you will be facilitated to prioritise for improvement. Position yourself and your Team to do Benchmarking effectively.

Implementing Six Sigma
Many organisations strive to effectively apply the principles of Six Sigma in an operating framework and sustain ongoing benefits. This workshop will show you how to apply and implement Six Sigma and to maintain the momentum.

Implementing Organisational Self Assessment
Learn how to plan & undertake Organisational Self Assessment from a suitable framework of Excellence for effective & sustainable improvement

Knowledge Hours
This networking forum is a one-hour presentation, held every last Tuesday and Wednesday of each month in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.  They focus on learning about best business practices that have been implemented in NZ organisations.

Introduction to Business Excellence
An introduction to Business Excellence as a concept, the various improvement methodologies available, and how to initiate a business improvement programme for your organisation.

Quality Tools
This course will assist participants to identify and understand common quality tools and their uses and to practice using them in group workshops.

Self Assessment & Planning for Improvement
Examines self assessment as a key organisational improvement tool, the various options available and how to go about conducting an assessment.

Defining, Managing and Improving Processes
This workshop is a mix of practical application of a proven range of processing mapping, process control and process improvement tools.  The course content draws from three essential publications: Process Redesign, the Memory Jogger and the NZ Criteria for Performance Excellence. 

Champions for Change
At times, one person within the organisation becomes the 'Change Agent' - the individual who is charged with orchestrating the quality initiative.  With the right kind of preparation and advice, you can make a great contribution to the success of your organisation.
