The New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation can offer your organisation a
range of practical benefits designed to assist you in achieving 'world-class'
levels of performance and results. Benefits include access to facilitated assessment tools,
training (tailored to your needs "in house" or public courses), networking
opportunities, access to best practice information and templates, regular

related articles, presentations and award winning applications, entry into the
NZ Business Excellence Awards, an opportunity to train staff as Evaluators on
the National Evaluator Panel, and access to experienced Authorised Consultants.
The Criteria for Performance Excellence for Business,
Health, Education, Local Authority and Not-for-Profit - The Criteria
is an internationally recognised and respected best practice model to provide
your organisation with a framework to drive business improvement. As a
member you will receive access to the latest Criteria at the beginning of each year
and also access to the Foundation personnel to assist you in interpreting the
criteria and planning your business improvement programme.
The Criteria is reviewed annually to ensure that it remains current with
international best practice.
Training Programmes - either via generic
'public courses' or training specifically tailored to your needs and delivered
'in house' where required. These are designed to
provide you and your staff with an understanding of the fundamentals of Business
Excellence, the characteristics of world-class organisations, how to assess your
organisation against the best practice framework and how to prioritise and turn
opportunities for improvement into action.
Access to Processes and Templates - by
contacting the Foundation for assistance in identifying and locating processes
and templates that will fast track organisational improvement and prevent
'reinventing the wheel'.
Business Excellence Articles - we have a
number of business excellence related articles, case studies and award winning
applications that are available for download through our knowledge base -
available to Foundation Members only.
The BPIR.com - the Benchmarking Performance
Improvement Resource. This provides access to what is considered the most comprehensive and
informative website worldwide on benchmarking, best practices, performance
measurement, business excellence and general performance improvement.
Networking Opportunities - via regular
knowledge hours (held bi-monthly), these are networking events where like-minded
professionals are able to listen to a variety of presenters on topical issues
and to share knowledge with other participants.
Authorised Consultants - to provide advice,
assistance and consultancy services in order to facilitate your continuous
improvement journey.
The New Zealand Business Excellence Awards -
access to the National awards and the evaluation process on a user pays basis. The
key deliverable is a full feedback report involving over 500 hours of Evaluation
by trained National Evaluators.
Personal Development Opportunities - via
preferential access to the NZ National Evaluator training course which is
calibrated with the US Baldrige evaluation process, the most rigorous business
audit framework available internationally.
Study Tours - preferential access to
facilitate knowledge sharing and learning from 'world-class'
organisations both Nationally and Internationally.
Coaching/Mentoring - provided to
businesses wishing to introduce a Business Excellence
