Assessment Options
| The NZ Business Excellence Foundation provides a range of assessment
services that can be tailored to your business requirements, namely: Self Assessment & Planning for Improvement Workshop A half-day in-house workshop (up to 20 attendees) which looks at the various self assessment methodologies in the marketplace and their specific uses. The workshop also addresses the benefits and process of self assessment and how to prioritise the opportunities identified in an assessment. Finally the attendees are instructed on creating a robust plan to action the key priorities. Facilitated Organisation Assessment (2 Days - National Award Simulation) Utilising proprietary software based on the international best practice 'Criteria for Performance Excellence' (Baldrige framework), this assessment is facilitated at your organisation over a period of two days. The assessment utilises focus groups to address the key functional categories of the best practice framework following which the Foundation will provide a full (50+ pages) written feedback report identifying Organisational strengths and opportunities for improvement. If desired, the Foundation is able to provide confidential comparisons of your results with other high performance NZ and overseas organisations. Facilitated Assessment (1 Day) This is an abbreviated assessment utilising a simplified version of the international 'Criteria for Performance Excellence' (Baldrige framework), facilitated over one day and used to assess either the entire business or a separate division, department or business unit. The assessment also provides a full feedback report identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement. Results are also able to be confidentially compared with other organisations. Individual Category Assessment Similar to the Full Organisational Assessment, however focusing on one (or more) categories of the Criteria for Performance Excellence. Each category will take approximately two hours and a feedback report is provided with recommendation. Business Fitness Assessment The Business Fitness Assessment is used to evaluate small to medium (SME), entrepreneurial organisations on criteria relevant to assess their ability to grow and prosper in their chosen market. Software Licences These are available for the assessment tool(s) and training can be provided for utilising the assessment tools. Many organisations with a trained National Evaluator purchase the licences to enable them to self assess 'in-house'.
