The New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation supports New Zealand organisations to achieve and sustain proven, world-class performance and results.

Established in 1992, the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation (NZ Business Excellence) was founded by public and private enterprise to improve the overall performance of New Zealand organisations.

Originally known as the National Quality Awards Foundation, NZ Business Excellence was set up to run New Zealand's premier business excellence awards.

NZ Business Excellence is a not-for-profit membership-based organisation that provides networking, knowledge sharing, organisational assessments, training, awards programmes and other resources to support New Zealand organisations to achieve world-class levels of performance. Our approach is built on the leading edge of validated leadership and performance practice – the internationally renowned Baldrige Excellence Framework
